Welding Processes

Perform basic welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW, with an introduction to GTAW. Students learn machine setup, polarity selection, wire and electrode handling, metal preparation, arc initiation, bead placement, travel speed control, and completion of basic weld joints in a controlled training environment

Metal Prep & Fabrication Steps

Prepare metal, follow fabrication steps, and complete basic weld joints by accurately measuring and marking materials, removing mill scale and contaminants, grinding edges, fitting and clamping components, selecting appropriate joint designs, and producing basic welds that demonstrate proper bead placement, penetration, and safety compliance.

Shop Procedures, Safety Protocols, & Emergency Actions

We teach students how to identify and prevent common risks such as fire, electrical hazards, fume exposure, and hot-work dangers, while reinforcing safe welding practices like proper machine setup, grounding, and handling hot materials. Students also receive hands-on instruction in tool and equipment safety, including oxy-fuel cutting, grinder use, and daily equipment checks. Throughout the program, we emphasize clean, organized workspaces, emergency procedure, and professional shop behavior. Our goal is simple: to build confident, discipline workers who understand how to protect themselves and their coworkers on  any jobsite.
