Tuition & Fees Policy
Purpose:
The Tuition & Fees Policy ensures that all students understand the full cost of the Welding Foundations & Industrial Safety program before enrolling. This policy provides transparency, protects students from unexpected charges, and ensures compliance with Washington State private vocational school regulations.
Tuition
The total tuition for the 12‑week, 480‑hour Welding Foundations & Industrial Safety program is:

Tuition covers:
- Classroom instruction
- Supervised hands‑on welding training
- Use of shop tools, equipment, and welding booths
- Welding consumables used during training
- Basic PPE provided by FORGE (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection)
- OSHA‑10 General Industry training
Tuition does not include personal PPE or tools that students are required to bring.
Required Fees
Any required fees must be listed clearly and separately from tuition. Examples include:

FORGE does not charge hidden or surprise fees. All required fees are disclosed before enrollment.
Optional or Additional Costs
Payment Terms
Students are responsible for purchasing their own personal PPE and basic hand tools, including:
- Welding helmet
- Welding jacket
- Leather work boots
- Chipping hammer
- Wire brush
- Cotton work clothing
These items are not included in tuition.
FORGE maintains a limited supply of loaner equipment for students who need temporary support.
Tuition and fees must be paid according to one of the following:
- Paid in full before the first day of training, or
- Payment plan approved by the school prior to enrollment
Students referred by agencies (DOC, Tribal programs, workforce partners) must have funding confirmed before the start date.
Students who do not meet payment requirements may not begin training.
Financial Obligations and Enrollment
Non‑Payment
A student is considered officially enrolled only after:
- All required enrollment documents are completed
- Tuition or agency funding is confirmed
- The student attends the first day of training
Failure to meet financial obligations may result in withdrawal from the program.
If a student fails to meet payment deadlines:
- The student may be placed on financial hold
- The student may be removed from training until payment is resolved
- The student may be dismissed from the program
Students dismissed for non‑payment remain responsible for any tuition owed under the Refund Policy.
Refund Policy Reference
No Additional Charges
All refunds are issued according to the Refund Policy and Washington State private vocational school regulations.
Students receive a written copy of the Refund Policy before enrollment.
FORGE does not charge:
- Late fees
- Technology fees
- Testing fees
- Equipment rental fees
- Graduation fees
Students will never be billed for items not disclosed in this policy.
Receipts and Documentation
Students receive written receipts for all payments.
FORGE maintains accurate financial records for each student.
