Transferability of Credits Disclosure
Purpose:
This disclosure ensures that students understand that FORGE is a private vocational training program, not a college or credit‑granting institution. Washington State requires all private vocational schools to clearly state that credits or hours earned may not transfer to other schools.
Required Disclosure
FORGE Vocational Training Foundation is a clock‑hour, non‑degree vocational program.
As required by Washington State private vocational school regulations:
Credits or hours earned at FORGE may not transfer to another educational institution.
Other schools — including colleges, apprenticeship programs, and training centers — may accept or decline FORGE training hours at their discretion.
Student Responsibility
It is the student’s responsibility to:
- Contact any other school they wish to attend
- Ask whether that school will accept FORGE training hours
- Obtain written confirmation if transferability is important to them
FORGE cannot guarantee acceptance of hours by any outside institution.
No Implied Promises
Certificate of Completion
FORGE does not:
- Represent that hours will transfer
- Guarantee acceptance of training by any employer, union, or school
- Negotiate transfer agreements on behalf of students
This protects students from misunderstanding and ensures transparency.
Students who meet all graduation requirements receive a Certificate of Completion, which verifies:
- Total hours completed
- Welding processes trained
- OSHA‑10 General Industry completion
- Competencies demonstrated
This certificate documents training but does not function as transferable academic credit.
Agency or Employer Recognition
Some agencies, employers, or Tribal programs may recognize FORGE training for employment or advancement purposes, but this is entirely at their discretion.
FORGE makes no guarantee of acceptance.
